A digital marketing venture built to help entrepreneurs achieve their goals

ABOUT FOUNDER MACKENZIE FELL

Mackenzie Fell started her design education in the Multimedia Arts and Design Academy at Santa Barbara High School where the idea for the business was born. Fell continued her education at Cal Poly, SLO where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Integrated Marketing Communications.

Fell gained work experience through two Marketing positions at MINDBODY and Gaine, two technology companies local to SLO, and freelanced for a few startups in the SLO CIE HotHouse, an entrepreneurial workspace built by the Cal Poly Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

In 2019, Mackenzie Fell was awarded 30 Under 30: Cal Poly’s Most Influential Women from Cal Poly’s Women in Business for her work on multiple entrepreneurial ventures. Fell was honored to be presented this award among 29 other multi-faceted business women, and it gave her the courage to pursue her own business full-time.

This foundation provided Mackenzie Fell with the knowledge to officially start running Fell Creative full-time. Fell enjoys the ability to get creative in her daily work by designing ways to help other entrepreneurs and businesses grow.

Outside of running her design business, Fell enjoys being creative with music as a DJ and music producer, spinning digital and vinyl records, under the alias Felly Fell. Fell teamed up with other local artists in SLO to start SubSessions Arts and Music Collective to provide musicians and artists with a platform for creativity.

THE STORY BEHIND FELL CREATIVE

The idea for Fell Creative started in a classroom at Santa Barbara High School. Founder Mackenzie Fell wrote a business plan during her Junior Year of high school for a digital design venture that was awarded 1st place in the Scheinfeld New Venture Challenge. After gaining traction from local investors, Mackenzie launched Fell Creative in Santa Barbara.

Fell was invited to speak at the Spirit of Entrepreneurship Awards Ceremony in 2015 and the South Coast Business & Technology Awards in 2016. She gained a number of local clients in Santa Barbara and started by designing websites for businesses such as The MAD Academy, Pintard Group, and Helena Avenue Bakery while finishing her education in the Multimedia Arts and Design Academy.

After evaluating the market, Fell expanded the business to encapsulate a wider offering of marketing tactics – these include, but are not limited to, web design, graphic design, social media management.

Mackenzie Fell continued freelancing with Fell Creative while continuing her education in The College of Business at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, during which she designed websites for JT Real Estate Group and Mission Pacifica Landscape Development. Her experience made it full-circle when she was hired to redesign the Spirit of Entrepreneurship Foundation website.

FELL CREATIVE TODAY

After graduating from Cal Poly and evaluating different career paths, Fell looked to the success she had with Fell Creative and how much she enjoyed helping entrepreneurs and small businesses grow. Recognizing the critical need for all businesses to have an online presence in today’s digital world, Fell has decided to officially relaunch Fell Creative and offer digital marketing services full-time.

Mackenzie Fell is passionate about bringing great ideas to life by helping entrepreneurs start their businesses and assisting established businesses in reaching their growth goals
